Each lot of honey that comes to our warehouse is subject to thorough research on international quality indicators. Particular attention is paid to testing for antibiotics.
Priority is given to a fundamental check on the organoleptic data (taste data, color, and odor). At the same time, the levels of diastase and oxymethylfurfural are determined. Check for fermentation, humidity, acidity.
After confirming the agreement with the required parameters, the employees conduct more difficult analyzes. This is the detection of the fact of product forgery, the calculation of microimpurities of antibiotics and similar substances.
Testing honey samples, which are provided by domestic beekeepers, for compliance with EU criteria – the procedure, isn’t simple. To implement all testing capabilities, our specialists enlist the support and assistance of external laboratory specialists. Among them are the German colleagues Intertek Food Services GmbH, Quality Services International GmbH and Lvov DNCDI.
The purchase of honey is carried out only after the positive results of laboratory tests.
